However, it's widely accepted that Sans does not retain memories.Īdditionally, Sans can teleport in a very unspecific fashion. Additionally, after completing a Pacifist Route once and gaining access to his room, he has a photo of him and his friends, implying he has some knowledge of the alternate timeline. The main evidence for this is at the end of a Genocide Route, if the player dies, he will acknowledge not only that they've died, but how many times they've died upon attempting to fight him again. Some characters will make references that the player character seems familiar to them after doing this, but Sans has some indistinct amount of knowledge of previous saves. Because each save file acts as a new timeline, resetting effectively deletes it. Likewise, players can use the Reset function in the main menu. Flowey is an exception to this, and he uses save files during the final fight of the Neutral Route. Humans-and in a more meta sense, players-are stronger than monsters because they have the ability to infinitely reload save files each time they die, but the monsters in-game can't do this. In the game, each time Frisk dies and the player reloads a save, they are creating a new "timeline" in the game universe, allowing the player to manipulate them. Unlike most characters in Undertale, Sans is sentient of other timelines and the SAVE function. RELATED: Loop Hero's Lich is Basically Sans from Undertale There's more evidence connecting the two games than just that, and perhaps the appearance of Sans in Deltarune Chapter 2 ties them both together. It's undeniable that Kris bears an uncanny resemblance to Chara and Ralsei to Asriel. Some players believe that Deltarune might be a prequel to Undertale, possibly set in an alternate timeline, or even both. But it's interesting that the developer has asked fans worrying about the timeline of Deltarunein comparison to Undertale to "not worry too much about that." This article contains spoilers regarding both Deltarune and Undertale.īut it's difficult not to wonder how the two games might be connected, especially considering the many overlapping characters Deltarune has. Talking about Papyrus makes him easier to hit, but it also increases his attack. For anyone who's played both Undertale and Toby Fox's other game Deltarune knows that the latter's cast is half made up of returning faces from the Underworld while the other half are completely new faces like Lancer, Susie, and the hilarious Queen. He could also travel to AUs, and different AU timelines.Glitching dodging attacks without teleporting, controlling other OCs' attacks (Bones, Gaster Blasters). Not letting people that have Determination able to reset, or save their game.If they get "lazy", they can slash their knife and can destroy the AU in one swing. He loves chocolate but doesn't like ketchup. If you talk about Papyrus, he would easily start to become weaker (easier to hit), but it would increase his attack. He still has emotions from the original Sans and Chara's. What!Sans is very cunning, ruthless, and unpredictable. He wears black pants with a brown stripe, following with darker brown slippers. He wears a green jacket with a horizontal yellow stripe going across his hoodie, including the sleeves having the yellow stripe. (Which you will never see) From his eyes, a gray-like substance pours from out of his eye sockets. ![]() He has red glowing eyes, which can only turn white if he gets emotional. ![]() ![]() What!Sans is your typical looking Sans, except about the part where everything else is different. He swore to destroy every AU but one day, he found Delta! Sans and Firewall! Sans, and after a hard battle, they managed to kill him. With all this power, Chara was now controlling his thoughts and actions, leading them to kill every single monster in the underground, including Papyrus. Instead of becoming a Sans, they were Sans (The current timeline). One day when Chara was on a genocide run, they figured it out that maybe one way to beat Sans was to become a Sans, so during one of the fights Chara ran up to Sans and tackled him, during this, they reset the game.
